‘Once we got her to our home… her personality completely changed, y'all, it was WILD’: After five days of feeding and failed capture attempts, a terrified dog mom finally trusts her rescuers enough to drive away with them to her new furever home

Rescues are never an easy thing. They are complicated, have lots of unexpected twists and turns, and require a lot of time and effort. However, the story we have today quite likely took far more time and effort to achieve than most doggo rescues we have come across. For while most doggos come along willingly with their rescuers, or require a little coaxing to take their first steps towards freedom, this Pitbull pupper required five straight days of feeding and encouragement to build up the trust within her to trust her rescuer to take her to safety.

Then again, who would not feel like the whole world is out to get them if they had just given birth, been thrown out on the street and had their puppies taken from them. Thankfully, this good girl did not give up on herself, nor hooman kind and before too long found her sweet and happy ending.

  • Oh goodness, what kind of cruel world is this that there is a park where people often abandon doggos? Just imagine being a doggo and getting there only to smell the copious amounts of fear and stress left behind by other doggos who were also abandoned there. Thank goodness, there are some decent people in this world.

  • Dedication is the word that comes to mind here. And a lesson for us all in how committed we ought to be when trying to save the life of a poor pupper who has been abandoned by all others. When things are at their toughest, it is not an invitation to give up, but to lean in.
